With this cold weather spurt his excema has kicked into high gear. He is covered from the top of his head to the top of his feet including the insides of his ears. We have used Aveeno wash and lotion since he was born and it has worked well unitl the past 2 weeks.
Everything we own that he will touch has to be washed in Tide Free. I have to be very careful with people holding him too long now because his skin can't be in contact with anything other than clothing washed in free detergents. His lotions and soaps were already pricier than normal baby washes, but after a trip to the doctor yesterday I really learned how pricey excema is!!
Thankfully the pricey prescription cream and pricey new lotion worked wonders over night. It's just going to be a LONG winter with his skin! We even had to purchase a new bathtub that is just his instead of his other seat that went into the big bathtub. (This way our shampoo and soaps don't contaminate his bath water. Other option..... clean bathtub every night before his bath. NOT going to happen!)
He seems to like it because as he is learning to sit up, he can sit in one end and play!
By the way..... Our little chunky monkey is 20 lbs 13 oz!!
