Christmas in Newnan

We attempted to leave Birmingham early on the day after Christmas, but the snow and ice had other plans. We were unable to get on the interstate because the on ramp was iced over and an Expedition was wrecked across it. After backing down the ramp, we headed back home to wait and see if the ice would melt. We decided to try again around lunch time when the temp reache 33 degrees. We made it to Newnan and stayed the night. Alabama got a lot more snow and ice than Georgia, especially the Talladega National Forest part of I-20 right past Oxford.

We had a great time visiting with our family. Leland loved his big truck and zebra scooter!

Jason was born and raised in Newnan, GA and I was born and raised in Birmingham, AL where we now live. We have an awesome family that is always there for us. We had a beautiful baby boy, Leland Matthew, on July 22, 2009. He is now growing like a weed and so much fun! We have a very hectic life, but we love it! We take everything that God gives us and deal with it the best we can. We know he has a plan for our family and can't wait to see what the future brings!!
