A day off...

I have mailed almost 30 packages this week. All slam full of item. Today, Jason was off work, do I took advantage of getting my hair done while the boys went to the Zoo. Jason said the Zoo was packed with people, but they had a blast. After a few errands, we returned home. Granny and Grandaddy came down to visit and we all went to dinner. When we got home, I asked Jason to pull the baby clothes out of the attic. It is unreal how many clothes we have accumulated. I weeded through them and will be selling/getting rid of a pile. I think we will be good on clothes for Laken, except 3 month. All of our 3 month is Summery short sleeve stuff, but our little guy will be in this size in Oct, not Aug like Leland. I saved some short sleeve outfits and pjs, because you never know what the weather will be! As I was sorting through clothes, I couldn't help but want to cry! I remember my sweet baby being born like it was yesterday. As I went through the clothes, I could remember each time they were worn, and I can not believe how fast time has flown by in 2 1/2 years! I am now 20 weeks pregnant, which means we are on the downward slope to meeting baby Laken. I do excited, nervous, wanting it to get here quick, but not wanting Leland to grow, ball of emotions!

Steal of the Century!

One of my customers was looking to get rid of their double stroller....only used twice and less than a year old.  Once she found out I was interested, she quickly said she would swap me 2 outfits for it.  I agreed and basically got a almost brand new double stroller for around $10 (had to buy 2 t-shirts for the outfits).  I just saved almost $200, as that was the average price of the double strollers we have looked at!

Gender Reveal Party!-It's a BOY!

Today we had our gender reveal party.....revealed gender of baby to family and friends.  We went with the "What will it BEE?" theme, so everything was done in yellow and black.

I had Edgar's Bakery make a yummy gender cake (my favorite bakery).  We opted to reveal by using balloons in a box, but they have been calling for rain on Saturday all week, so I wanted to make sure we had a plan B!
I have held the secret of the gender all week.  I went to my 18 week apt on Tuesday, but they baby was sitting breach, straight up and down with it's legs crossed.  The technician thought she saw what it was, but we were not sure.  My doctor was nice enough to schedule me a comp sonogram yesterday, and we were able to see for sure!

I didn't even tell Jason what the gender of the baby was....why you ask?  Well, if you know my husband at all, you know he CAN NOT keep a secret!  It actually turned out to be more fun keeping it a secret from him than anyone else.  I had a pack of pink and blue balloons on the counter last night, so for a good 10-15 min, Jason was under the impression that we were having twins!

Leland was so excited for the party and has been talking about it all week!

19 weeks pregnant about to reveal the gender.

It's a BOY!  Laken Morgan Rooks, Laken will be the name.  Jason actually wanted a girl this time.  I on the other hand wanted a boy.  A girl would have been fine with me, but to be honest, I am thrilled with a boy!
I LOVE this picture!  Leland likes balloons, but he went crazy when we handed him one out of the reveal box.  He toted that balloon around all day and said he was a, "Broder!"

I tried to get a picture with my little man, but he was too busy blowing strawberry's on the balloon!
We had everyone guess if they thought boy or girl before we revealed.

The inside of the cake was blue and it was SO good!  They baked it this morning because I wasn't able to tell them the gender until late yesterday.
Leland was content picking the icing off of the rim of the cake!
It turned out to be a beautiful day and perfect weather.  Crazy weather people seriously don't know what they are talking about sometimes!

2 of my best girlfriends, Gina and Ashley came to the reveal.

I asked Leland to hug the baby and this is what he did...

Pap, GiGi, Mommy, Daddy, Big Brother Leland, Maw, and PawPaw at Laken's reveal party April 21, 2012.

My non-blood Brother, Adam.

We had a lot of fun revealing this baby's gender the way we did.  We figured since this is our last baby, we might as well have some fun and do something out of the ordinary.  Not to mention, it is always great to make a reason for friends and family to get together!

Anslee Turns 3!

Birthday girl and her cake!

Chasing bubbles!

While getting ready for Church Easter Sunday morning, I started getting a bad pain in my left side, right below my rib, but more in my back.  We went on to Church, but the pain worsened, especially when standing and walking around.

After Church, we came home and I went straight to bed.  After a nap, I was still in pain and remained in the relcliner for the rest of the night...even sleeping there because I couldn't get comfortable in bed.  Right at 8am on Monday, I called the Doctor and went right in.

He diagnosed me with a kidney stone.  I was in severe pain by the time I got home, so Jason went to the pharmacy, but the pain pills made me sick all day Monday.  Nothing like being sick AND in severe pain.  Luckily, my Mom came to stay the night with us, but again, I was in the recliner all night.

By Tuesday, I was flat miserable.  I asked Mom to just take Leland with her.  I love them, but they were getting on my nerves (in a good way)!  You know when you are just in so much pain you don't want to talk, eat, or see anyone...well that's the point I was at.  She took Leland and I didn't get him back until Friday.

I was in pain and in the recliner unil Thursday.  Kudos to those that do childbirth naturally, but this kidney stone was the closest I ever want to come to that pain again!  I assure you, I will be getting the good stuff once again come Sept.  ...I have seen my doctor for a check-up since last week.  He informed me that I should be good doing natural childbirth after last week.  I assured him I would NEVER willingly put myself through that pain for any reason!  He laughed and said he agreed!  He also proceeded to ask me if I kept the stone that I passed.  I asked him if he was serious and proceeded to tell him that I was definitely not thinking about digging through the toliet to find a stone at 1:30am when I passed it and thought I was going to pass out in pain!

I am finally feeling better and trying to play catch up on my orders.  I pray I NEVER get a kidney stone again, especially while pregnant!!

Phone pics of Easter..camera died.

At Church

Laying on his new mat eating peanut butter M&M's!  He was nice and hyped up for Church!

I bribed him with an M&M to get him to stand still...whatever worked at the time.  Leland enjoyed Easter service.  We let him go into big Church with us to listen to the band before the sermon...of course I wound up walking out after the band was done, but he loved singing and dancing!

Easter 2012

The Easter Bunny was good to Leland this year.  A new nap mat and lunch box for school, 2 pairs of swim trunks, and a basket full of goodies!

He was so excited!
