Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Hayden!
Jason and I had a night out in Gadsden Saturday night. We have spend many nights in this city during college! We went to Caleb and Stephanie's wedding. Caleb was Jason's College roommate and fraternity brother. Stephanie was also a friend of both of ours from college. The wedding was sweet and simple and the reception was so much fun! It turned into a huge JSU reunion, so we got to catch up with friends we haven't seen in a while! After the wedding, we hit up the ole Chestnut Station to see Fly By Radio, one of the best 80's bands around!

Potty training in full force...
Well, I suppose Leland may be ready to potty train now after showing no interest for a while. I was working yesterday morning and he came running to my office door with one side of his diaper undone and the other around his ankle.
As I asked him what he was doing and went to attach it back, he peed in the floor. I was NOT a happy camper and popped his leg and told him that he doesn't take his diaper off unless he is going to the big potty and that he does NOT pee in Mommy's floor!!!
Well after much debate, I felt bad for getting on to him. I am still unsure if he was just taking his diaper off or if in fact he was trying to go to the bathroom on his own.
I sat and researched a good bit on effective ways to potty train last night, and the bottom line is no one knows!! Everyone has their own opinion and some work, while others do not.
Leland needed more diapers anyways, so today I purchased Pull Ups instead of regular diapers. I also stumbled upon 2 packs of underwear for $2 a piece, so I picked them up.
I'm not sure what we are getting into, but I think it is time for my independent little man to use the big boy potty, so here we go!
Day 1:
All hell broke loose when I put your Thomas underwear on today, Leland. You did NOT like them one bit. I showed you the potty and you have sat on it several times today with no success, but you do say, "Potty" now, so I suppose that is progress enough for one day!! You are wearing Pull Up's now and I showed you how they go up and down. We have had several conversations today about the potty, so I sure hope you wake up ready to learn tomorrow LOL!
